A Kingfisher in flight, poised and hovering above the lake, ready to swoop down and catch his lunch. Unmistakable in colour, these beautiful birds are common in UK but are on the endangered list. Kingfisher Fact: The design of a kingfisher’s beak is aerodynamically efficient, allowing it to dive from its perch, towards its prey, with maximum speed and minimum splash.
